Andrew and Porter

It amazes me how they can look so much alike and be so different. Before Porter was born I wondered if he would look more like my older three. Dark hair- hazel/brown eyes or like my last two little blonde kiddies with blue eyes. Well the Porter boy definitly has his own little look. I see a little of all his older siblings in him sometimes more than others.

Sometimes life just stinks!

Before Porter was born Rayla bought him some super cute onesizes with little doggie slippers. And every morning after he was born she was very helpful and would bring me cute things to put on him.

Spencer has a special way with babies. With both Andrew and Porter I can hand them to him crying and he will patiently hold them and love them. It really upsets him to see his baby brother sad. Spencer is a sweetheart.

Moments like this are what its all about

Birthday Month(September)

It all starts with Andrews birthday. This year Andrew had an orange-red birthday. He had an orange cake, w/ orange candle, orange balloons etc.

Then was Joseph's birthday. He wanted to go hiking/ camping with his dad and brother. They went to the mud caves and found some awesome frogs. Joseph even got down and dirty and went swimming with them in a big tub. Andrew was the hiker boy. He was tired and hot before the hike realy got going. But at least he had a walking stick. He loves to just stop and say hey guys wait for me.

Then was Victoria's birthday. We just enjoyed a nice Saturday at home she loved her pink pony cake and littlest pet shops!

For along time Andrew would'nt call Porter anything but his baby. Now he is happy to refer to him as Porter boy. He is very proud of his little brother and loves to show him off.

The Tie Dye Kids

Its our new Labor Day Tradition. We had so much fun making these shirts. We were really happy with the way they all turned out. So they all four proudly wore their shirts to school the next day.

Blessing Day

We were so lucky to have so many family members here for Porters blessing including Granny and Grandpa. In Porters blessing the one thing that really stands out to me is how many times his daddy told him he was loved. We LOVE our little PB!!

This Fall we had the opportunity to go to Utah for conference. We were really happy to be able to introduce Aunt Shirley to Porter.
We love our Aunt Shirley.

So halloween this year was kind of a blur for me. Hopefully next year I will feel more on top of things. We didn't even take any pictures. Porter didn't even get into his little pumpkin outfit:(
Dang! But next year will be better. Rayla was a Renaissance Princess, Joseph was a snake catcher, Spencer was crazy man, or retired rock star, Tori was a beautiful princess, Andrew was scooby doo.
We did our usual. We had vege soup in yummy pumpkin bread bowls. Grandma Munson and Grandma Hydeman both came over. April, Parker and Quincy came over and everyone enjoyed the trick or treating.
One funny story... Andrew was a kick while trick or treating. I guess when he went up to one of the houses to trick or treat he just ran right in and everyone thought he had run ahead so they went up to the next house. When they got to the next house they realized that Andrew wasn't there yet. So they went back and the Vietnamese family was bringing Andrew out and asking if he was ours. I guess we'' claim him.:)
Also Andrew was pretty good about saying trick or treat and all that. But he went to one of the houses and when they opened the door he said,"you're supposed to give me candy."

Ok Each of my children are named after very special people. I think names are important. And I really wanted my children to have great names to live UP to. Our Uncle Roger Porter is who P is named after. He and dad(Joseph's father) are twin cousins. The Porter family hold a special place in our hearts. Clate is Joseph's dad Clate Mask but he also has an uncle named Clate and a cousin named Clate. A little confusing I know but the bottom line is they are all people we love and admire. So in mentioning little about how I feel about names I would like to make mention of the fact that Porter has a similar hairdo to his grandpa Clate Mask. Porter's hairdo makes me laugh cause he has just a patch of hair on the top of his head. Hence the name Mr. Fuzzy Head. Hopefully his hair will all come in nicely and will not have the mullet poor Tori had to endure. And Spencer who was our little troll doll who had hair that just stood straight up on his head. Hmmm. What will come of Porter?

More Awesome Photos Compliments of Amy!

These Pictures where taken by Porter's Aunt Amy. I am so dang lucky to have so many talented sisters who are willing to share their talents with me! Thanks Amy!

Porter Clate Mask "Pacman" or Porter Boy

Porter Clate Mask was born July 26th. He was the first of the six mask children to finally come without being forced here. Friday night July 25th Joseph and I were getting ready to go to a company dinner. Just as we were about to walk out the door, I felt a gush. 5 times I have just wished my water would break. Was it to good to be true? Was it really happening the way I had always dreamed. When in talking with others I would always specify that it happens to everybody else but not me. So I went into the bathroom and sure enough something was happening. But was it enough to actually allow me to have a baby one week early? Yahoo I was running through the house screaming and yelling hooray. The kids thought either I had snapped or something was really wrong with mom. Thats when I told them the good news that we were going to have a baby. I was still running around like a raving lunatic and Rayla was packing me up. Before I could even ask for all the things everyone needed to go to grandma's Rayla already had them gathered. She even had the chicken nuggets packed up in little baggies for the kids dinner. Joseph still wasn't convinced He asked the nurse if my water had broke and if they would be keeping me. She assured him that it had broke and that we weren't going anywhere. This is the point in the evening when Joseph finally came to terms with the fact he was eating dinner at the hospital and not at Charleston's. I still had to have some pit to get the ball rolling. But everything went great. We are so blessed and happy to have Porter in our family. One day Rayla and I were talking about how much we love our little Andrew boy and Rayla commented on how she couldn't imagine our lives with out him, cause we love him so much. Its the same with our little pacman. We are so happy to have him here and he is so lucky to have 5 wonderful older siblings who love him sooo much.
Well Its been a long while since I have done any blogging. I enjoy looking at all the fun blogs of family and friends. Tonight I spent the evening looking at some blogs of old friends. I am just amazed at the things they have accomplished and have done. They have inspired me. Thank you its so fun to catch up and see all the great things you are doing.
